I have a list a mile long and a day that’s a mere 24 hours.  Each day I transfer my list over to the next.

A few things get done in between the “must’s”  but most of my list just keeps moving forward like a lumbering dinosaur looking for his next snack.

Since I am a coach, I ask myself all the right questions.

  • What am I doing to create this?
  • How would I like it to be?
  • What is in alignment with my values?

And when I honestly look at the list, I don’t see anything that I can drop out right now.

But what I do see is the opportunity to change the way I look at my list.

Instead of thinking “how will I get all this done,” I can be asking, “what can I do right now?”

What do I have time for and what kind of small step can I take to move forward in any of these projects?

How to Reframe Your To-Do List

Life is really moving the ball down the field ( to use a football analogy and I don’t know the first thing about football) little by little each day, week and year.

The importance of life is enjoying the journey down the field, complete with some head-knocking, intercepted passes and inspiring huddles.

So, what can I do today to get that ball closer to the goal?

Whatever it is, once I do it, I’ll celebrate with a really good half-time show and a nice cold beer.

Enjoying the half-time show in L.A.,
